SAN FELIPE - There will be a total of 4 classes offered, over two days:  Tuesday, March 17th, and Wednesday, March 18th.  Morning classes will run from 8 am until Noon, and afternoon classes will run from 1 pm until 5 pm.  The cost is $20 U.S. or 300 pesos each and includes a certification card. The Lions Club held the first Free Eye Exam Clinic of this year in the new location at California Optical. on Saturday. Again we thank the owners, David DesRochers and Melina Ferrios, for donating the use of their clinic for the Lions Club Vision Clinics. We also thank their optometrist, Dr Efrain and the students he brought down from Mexicali to assist him, for their help.

Hosts Public Safety Seminar By Carlos Durán Mexico Living, April 2009 The Rosarito Foreign Residents Assistance Office hosted a Public Safety Seminar on February 21 at the CEMAC auditorium. Olivia de Corral moderated the meeting, which included the following civil servants: Police Chief Eduardo Montero Alvarez, Rosarito PGJE Attorney Lic. Rafael González, Chief of Civic Protection Octavio Mendez Stoever, Director of Economic Development and Tourism Lic. Héctor Reyes Orrantia, and President of the Citizens Committee for Public Safety Lic. Ricardo Moreno. First to address the many foreign residents (in English) was Rosarito Mayor Hugo Torres and explains that last year Rosarito hired 50% new officers and now a team is in place that can provide safe, secure public safety to all citizens of Rosarito.
